Our Disneyland trip

This past weekend, I awoke to my husband telling me that we are to head to Disneyland with the kids and stay the night in a hotel to end our annual passes with a bang. I was pleasantly surprised and did all the last minute planning and packing. If anyone has ever been to Disneyland they know that their prices on food are outrageous. Just to give an example, a bottle of water is somewhere close to $5.00 when you can buy a whole case at any store for that much or less. So in order to save some dinero, we always pack our food and snacks. Enter in, our stash; Popcorn, "cuties", cheez-its (whole grain ;) , banana, applesauce, PB&J's, and a few cookies and dum-dum suckers to bribe with should things get serious.

Things went pretty smoothly since we had our supplies handy as our youngest, "Taz," as we affectionately nick-named him, had his expected melt-downs. My daughter is easy-peasy when it comes to D-land. We couldn't leave without a spin on the carousel and of course had to take a "silly face pic."
Here is our little Taz man enjoying some of those snacks.
Disneyland and California Adventure seem to always be more magical at night. One of the best things to see of course is the Ferris wheel of death, as I call it after being in one of those swinging baskets and nearly losing a lung from screaming. Here we were waiting for "The Wonderful World of Color" which is a MUST SEE if you haven't yet had the privilege.

This was our Beautiful room at the Fairfield Inn&Suites by Marriott in Buena Park, CA. We got a great last-minute deal (those seem to be the best) on priceline.com for a two-room suite. I would recommend this hotel to everyone it was perfect! Great service, got to have a nice FREE hot breakfast in the morning, has all the amenities, good location. Our little princess was quite excited that she got to sleep in a queen size bed all to herself.
And behold! Our Disneyland Haul! Aaden's first pair of classic mouse ears, my new favorite coffee mug, and R2-D2 ears for our daughter who is a major fan.
A better look at my awesome mad hatter cup...LOVE!!

It was a great weekend to say the least. We were super blessed it went as well as it did. Thanks Disneyland for the memories!! But it looks like we will be taking a very extended break considering your prices require more than an arm and a leg :/

My Eclecticity

Welcome to my eclecticity! "What is eclecticity," you might ask? Well, on my journey of my life up to this point of almost 29 years, I have learned so much about myself including my taste and style, which is ever-changing. I can never seem to fit my taste or style into any single category. I am drawn to so many different things and aesthetics and time-periods. The only "category" that all seems to fall on is "eclectic." So I took the term a step further to describe my world. My favorite chapter in the entire Bible has to be PROVERBS 31. It is the ultimate picture of what I want to be as a wife and a mother and a woman of God. Not entirely sure if others will welcome the idea, or read or even follow this blog but hey, a homemaker needs an outlet, right? So bear with me on this journey of life as I learn to manage this, my family, and try to restrain my obsession with almost every shade of blue. *Deep breath* Here I go...
